Okay I have to combine these days. We were in Bend (and ironically Brian can no longer Bend but I will get into that in a later post!). We had a terrific drive along an 80 mile drive that had beautiful fall colours and happily NO STATE TROOPERS!!! We passed the half way point between the North Pole and the Equator. We stopped for lunch at Mitchell - I'm sure you cannot find it on a map it is that small. There was a sign "Business Loop" - now to claim a business loop I think you need businesses..... Well maybe in a town with a population of 42 you can only have 2 "antique" stores. But we found a brewery - I think that God herself has gifted us with the ability to find amazing lunch locations that have great beer. It's probably better than the ability to walk on water. But we did buy awesome shirts there: Great burgers and back on the road to Bend. Bend is in South Central Oregon and it is such a great little city. It's our second visit there and we enjoyed it as much the second time as the first.
We have stayed in the Bates motel and now we have a great house. It makes us appreciate a good house after we stayed in a room that we took shifts through the night to ensure we survived the night.
We are going to lose our reputation as being the irresponsible and immature people we are. We did some shopping and played poker until a respectable 11:00 pm. No wild crazy parties, no tears, no fighting, no passing out at the table, no calls from the homeowner to shut it down, no sleeping until noon the next day..... WTF?! I will post our photos and then reassure everyone that San Francisco will be much more exciting! We are one night in already and it's been a little stressing....... More on that though....
